Around the Table
November 2, 2025
On November 2, 2025, the VMAC Renewal Foundation held its first official board meeting.
Rather than gathering in a conference room, we invited the Foundation’s officers and directors over for dinner. It gave Cole and Kacey the opportunity to share their vision in person—to explain what they had seen, what they had learned about VMAC’s history, and why they believed the facility’s future was worth fighting for.
Nearly everyone was able to be there around the table, while Coach Eric Nagoshi joined the meeting by FaceTime. The evening was equal parts business meeting and celebration. We reflected on the months of research, paperwork, planning, and persistence that had brought the Foundation to that point, while also recognizing that the real work was only beginning.
For the first time, the vision was no longer being carried by Cole and Kacey alone. It was now shared by a stable of talented and experienced professionals who believed in the mission and were willing to help shepherd it forward.
That evening marked the beginning of a new phase in the Foundation’s journey—from creating the organization to building the partnerships, plans, and support needed to renew the vision for VMAC.
